Sky Channel had the days "program guide" up for two-and-a-half hours this morning instead of replays. That is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Can they get it right in 2007? Don't hold your breath.

You know since Sky Channel first came on the air all those years ago, you’d realistically think they’d would have learnt a thing or two. You’d hate to see some of their decision makers trying to run another business - for they’d have surely gone broke years ago, as customer service is almost non-existent. I am still waiting on email replies from five years ago.
For years I’ve been writing here about their apathetic attitude towards their viewers and it continues to this day – nothing has changed and obviously no practices have been put in place to rectify their consistent stuff up’s.
The “stuff up’s” lead to me asking the question “does anyone actually work there”? You wake up Thursday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed, look at the wife, feel like eating off your arm (just kiddin' darlin'!) to watch Marasco’s race or other Group racing from Perth yesterday, or to watch the Ipswich, Wyong or Werribee replays from yesterday – and there is nothing except the screen showing you what is on today from 9.30am when “Off The Beaten Track” kicks off the day. Luckily I bounded out of the cot at 5.15am Queensland time, so I did get to see Marasco’s win. Then they showed Hong Kong races and suddenly before 6am Queensland time, that was it for replays for the day. So for over 2-and-a-half hours you, their client, get treated like a total wanker and are asked to watch the program guide for the day. How riveting?
It is pathetic and it has been going on for years and no one ever seems to fix the problem. Clearly someone needs the rocket. Someone must start work and see nothing is happening on the screen and acknowledge their clients have all just dozed off watching the program guide…..again.
How can you only write “positive” racing stories when crap like this happens – regularly. Governments take millions of dollars a year from racing and give precious little back, preferring to make sure the heroine addicts and the females who have had six snotty-nosed kids to six different fathers are all looked after. TVN send hand written accounts out for $12 about six months after they are due and then blame the customer for being “late”. Sky Channel has a replay service, but don’t bother showing replays during the appropriate timeslot. Fair dinkum, if they weren’t respectively running a government, TVN, or Sky Channel they’d have gone broke long ago.
