 WARWICK FARM

Race 4             No.2    Ghostly

Although well beaten when finishing third last start at Randwick at a $3.6 pop I thought GHOSTLY turned in a terrific effort when surprisingly he got back near the rear during the race. He drops back in grade but only goes up a kilo with apprentice Andrew Adkins taking the ride. There is a few with speed so hopefully a spot on their back would be ideal and he can return to the winners circle this time for new trainer James Cummings.

Best win odds $4.50 at Ladbrokes

Race 8             No.2    Your Way

Winners don’t need excuses and this mare YOUR WAY is a winner having saluted seven times in her nine start career. Perhaps her biggest asset is she races well on all surfaces and of course her ability to be tough when required or dash if needed. She has trialled twice this time in and looked the part on both occasions. She is drawn nicely and looks to secure a perfect run camped on the back of a few speedsters such as Hot Hit, Isorich with blinkers on, Esgrimidor, Allez Chival and our tips stablemate Sangiovese. Tim Clark has won on the mare four times and sticks on Saturday.

 FLEMINGTON

Race 3             No.5    Schism

SCHISM is looking for two wins on the trot and I think only bad luck will stop her. She jumps from a BM90 to an Open Handicap but faces no tougher opposition yet drops a half kilo with premiership leader Beau Mertens booked to steer. She races handy in the run and should give a terrific sight and prove hard to get past.

 DOOMBEN

Race 4             No.1    Loving Home

Chris Waller has elected to open a Gold Coast base so instead of sending some of his horses north to other trainers he’s hoping to train plenty of winners himself.

On Saturday he has ventured north with LOVING HOME and although they have given them the visitors draw of the outside barrier I expect he will prove too good. He can be hard to catch for punters but that has been in better grade races and with the easier assignment at Doomben I’d be surprised if he couldn’t get the job done. Larry Cassidy gets the opportunity to make first impression for Waller.

Good luck and happy punting!!
