SHOWTIME has raced six times recording four placings but today looks the day. The blinkers go on and following a solid first up run behind Songlike he should bounce and be able to lead all the way.

SAYED was only narrowly beaten last start with a big gap to third and that was off the back of a dominant win at Randwick. He drops 7kg from last start and should be able to position up handy and with the light weight should prove too good.

MARIA VICTORIA had shown good ability at the trials prior to debuting at Gosford a fortnight ago where she failed to flatter after nothing went right. She was caught out on a limb at Gosford so drifted back to second last and then they sprinted and she was forced to chase. She took a while to gather herself but hit the line solidly. It’s an easier assignment here and the bigger track should assist. I think she’s terrific value around the $5 mark.
