Foundry has won the Metropolitan at Randwick, giving Team Williams another win and jockey Michael Dee his first Group One triumph.

The eight-year-old gelding charged to the front in the final 200m to beat fellow Victorian Big Duke by half a length on Saturday, with Chocante third in the 2400m race.

Favourite Life Less Ordinary struggled at the back all the way.
