RACE 3 NO.4 BRING THE MAGIC
Three weeks between runs and stepping from 1550m to 1800m is the only worry I have in making BRING THE MAGIC a good bet today at Rosehill. This filly by Sebring has only raced six times and even though only winning once she has caught my attention that she is destined for some better races. If she runs the 1800m out I firmly believe she will be classy for the opposition and I am prepared to say she will make us all a believer this afternoon.
RACE 6 NO.3 WELSH LEGEND
Three-year-old filly taking on the older mares and from an awkward gate could be a recipe for disaster but I think WELSH LEGEND is a pretty handy filly and she is only passing through this grade on her way to better races. She is another who’s record doesn’t look overly flash with only one win from seven starts but throw on top of that a few cracking runs including one at Canterbury when blowing the start and charging home for a most unlucky defeat. I thought her recent trial was tip top and only bad luck will beat her today in my mind.
RACE 7 NO.12 KOLDING
Unlucky one day doesn’t mean you win next start but after being a certainty beaten last Wednesday I think KOLDING can make up for that defeat this afternoon. It was a horror show but there was nothing Bowman could do and after eventually getting out late to get beaten three lengths it was a good run. He races tougher opposition this afternoon but dropping to 55kg and like the other best bets I think this grade is only a momentary stop through to better races.
