Farnan has delivered a seventh Golden Slipper for trainer Gai Waterhouse with an all-the-way victory in the world’s richest race for two-year-olds.

The colt, ridden by Hugh Bowman, fended off Away Game and Mamaragan in the $3.5 million showpiece over 1200m at Rosehill.

Waterhouse, who shares training duties with Adrian Bott, first won the Golden Slipper in 2001.
