Race 1
Extremely even 2200m race to kick off proceedings, with all 6 runners some winning hope. 1 OUTRAGED rises 4.5 kg from his last start win, he was impressive and hard to beat again here. 2 GET ON THE GRANGE brings some very handy Sydney form, gets to the 2200m on fresher legs than OUTRAGED, and is the on top selection

Race 2
I’ve got a share in 6 WHYCATCHIM, and confident he can race well. He couldn’t have been more impressive winning first up for Ben Currie, breaking the 870m track record at Toowoomba. This is a big step up in class, but he gets J Lloyd and should be in the finish. I think the horse to beat is 12 IL RICCIO from the T GOLLAN stable. He looked like a super star wining his maiden, before injuring himself when going to Sydney. He has trialed up well and is the horse to beat. 3 MR MARBELLOUZ holds the key here, if he can begin well enough to hold the front, it will make it harder for those drawn out wide to win.

Race 3
4 PLUMARO was an impressive winner first up at Toowoomba, spanking an ordinary field. Much harder here, and while it certainly can win, I can’t entertain it at the price. 6 BACCARAT BABY has trialed well at the Sunshine Coast and looks to be a hope here. 1 YOU KNOW THE ONE was a good first up winner, before failing on a HEAVY track behind subsequent Magic Millions place getter FULLAZABOOT. You’d expect this bloke to be wound up from the Zeilke yard and is an EW hope.

Bet: Can’t take the $1.40 about the fav, so will play a BOX QUINELLA 1,2,4,6 for value.
Race 4
Really liked the way 3 UMBERTO attacked the line last start. She came from a long way back from the better gate here, can settle closer and is the horse to beat. 4 BASARA was plain last start, and happy to be against here. 1 SNITZ looks to me like a horse who will appreciate a little further ground this prep but expect him to dash well first up.

Race 5
5 ANOTHER DOLLAR looked to have a bit on her rivals last time, and the step to 1600m looks ideal. Happy to see her settle back and come with a powerful burst to overhaul her rivals here. 2 TROMMELSCHLAGEN looks suited up to the mile and will run well, while last start winner 3 BOLD ASSASIN was visually impressive, so a winning chance again for sure.

Race 6
Difficult race here, with the clear best horse in the race 1 HONEY TOAST returning from an injury enforced lay off. If Ben Currie can get him to produce anything close to his best he will beat these. The big question is obviously the time off and whether he still has that first up sprint in legs. At the double figure price it’s worth a small investment to find out. Hardest to beat is 6 BIDII BABE, who while hasn’t won this prep, but hasn’t ran a bad race in tougher grade. 5 OLD NORTH has trialed up well and expect it to race well here. I am against 4 IM A RIPPA, who won a class 3 on a mad leaders track 2 back, before a last start win in a restricted QTIS Sales race, I think he has plenty against here, and happy to bet around it.

Race 7
I think 10 DREAM MASTER can lead here and is the horse to beat. He has led and ran good time in winning at both runs back this prep and can make it 3 on the trot here. 1 IM ALONE is one at big odds that gets a cosy run, and if he can sneak an inside run up the straight, can run into a place. 13 JADENTOM has drawn well here, should get a nice trip and can ran a place.

Race 8
2 GLENDARA has the best credentials here and looks very hard to beat. He has competed in better races than this in recent times and gets her chance to break back into the winners list. He finished within 2L of CARE TO THINK 2 back, and a repeat of that sees him winning here.

Race 9
My boy 4 MUSTARRID will find it difficult from the gate here, wait for him over 1600-2000m. I think the T Gollan pair of 11 BRIGADOON RISE & 6 SALMANZAR control the speed, and potentially control the race and could finish first 2. Leaning toward 6 SALMANZAR to be hardest to get past. Looking toward 8 DOUBLE SUPERALTIVER to be ridden more forward from the good gate and is the one at odds I think is a big improver. If he can settle in the first 3, he is the horse to upset the Gollan pair. I’m happy to be on at the big price, and if he settles on speed we will get a big site for our money.

Race 10
11 PRIORITISE can win, but he can win without me. I’ve been on him a lot this prep, and he seems to find a way to get beat. I’m not sure this draw is ideal either, as I can see him getting buried away on the fence, if he gets the luck he can win for sure. 14 OF THE DAY returned to the winner list, when flashing late to score a nice win last time. A repeat of that here will see her in the finish. 2 LUCKY TOM is a winner first up and goes well fresh, he could be the blow out hope at huge odds. If he can find a good spot early, he can figure in the finish. 16 INSPIRED ESTELLE was a nice last start winner who can win again here.
