Trained by Darren Weir, Black Heart Bart was beaten in a photo-finish to the Railway Stakes by Great Shot who will jump from gate 12 as a $15 chance.

Godolphin’s It’s Somewhat, who drew barrier 11 of 15, remained steady at $4.60 second-elect ahead of local filly Perfect Jewel at $7 who has gate nine.

The Chris Waller-trained Tom Melbourne (7), third in the Railway, is at $8 to win for the first time at Group One level and is the only other runner under double figures.
