Racing Victoria stewards fined Stockdale $500 on Wednesday for punching his mount Maid To Measure in the stomach following the running of the Moorookyle Park Handicap.
He was fined a further $300 after failing to claim his 2kg allowance aboard Bit Of A Lad in a later race.
Stockdale said he was frustrated with Maid To Measure after wasting in a bid to ride at 52kg later on the program, which led him to him punching the filly post-race.
He told stewards it was something that would not happen again.
