Jason Collett has capped a brilliant 2024-25 season with a winning treble at Warwick Farm’s final metro meeting.
On a chilly Wednesday afternoon, Collett struck early in the MyPlates Handicap (1600m) aboard Fairway Star for Bjorn Baker, then added victories on Prima Bella for Matt Smith and The Replicant for Joe Pride.
The treble came just days after a four-win haul at Randwick, sealing second place in the Sydney jockeys’ premiership with 74 wins — trailing only James McDonald (83).
The season also saw Collett notch his eighth Group 1 win aboard Stefi Magnetica in the Doncaster Mile (1600m), and claim the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) on Fangirl.
“I’m really happy with the season’s total,” Collett said.
“I just want to keep the momentum going into next season.”
Earlier, Kristen Buchanan’s colt Tambeloa impressed on debut in the Keeneland September Yearling Sale Handicap (1600m), hinting at staying potential.
“Dreams are free. There may be a Derby in his picture,” Buchanan said.
