Melbourne Cup favourite Constantinople has drawn an inside gate for the $8 million race.
Constantinople will launch his bid from barrier seven in a field of 24 at Flemington as he tries to atone for a luckless Caulfield Cup run.
Japan’s Caulfield Cup winner Mer De Glace has drawn gate two with last year’s hero Cross Counter to start from stall five.
