Job Done faces a significant rise in class on Flemington Finals Day, but co-trainer Michael Kent Jnr is confident the promising two-year-old is up to the challenge.
After a stylish debut win at Seymour on June 10, Job Done heads into the Next Gen Sprinters Final over 1200m as a $3.10 chance.
“He can step up but there are two to beat, in my opinion,” Kent Jnr said.
“Bacash will be very hard to beat after being a big margin winner and I think Street Artist jumped out well but Job Done is a neat horse but not a big horse.”
“He has a huge, big stride on him and he is definitely city class.”
Bacash, trained by Lindsay Park, is the $2.50 favourite after a dominant six-length maiden win at Cranbourne on June 22.
Street Artist, debuting for Anthony and Sam Freedman, is priced at $5.50.
Job Done is by Snitzel and is a half-brother to Pivot City, also trained by Price and Kent Jnr.
