The Anthony Cummings-trained Libertini is headed to The TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on October 17 with James Harron selecting the four-year-old mare for his slot in the world’s richest race on turf.
Libertini – currently $7 at TAB for The TAB Everest – has raced 10 times for five wins, one second and two thirds.
Libertini is a three-time Group 2 winner having saluted in last year’s Silver Shadow Stakes (August 24) and Furious Stakes (September 7), which are both 1200-metre races at Royal Randwick, before finishing third at Group 1 level in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day.
Libertini was $34 for The Everest before unleashing a powerful finishing burst to take out last Saturday’s Premiere Stakes over 1200 metres at Royal Randwick.
TAB’s representative for The TAB Everest, Nature Strip, is currently the $6 third favourite.
