Lindsay Park will aim for a fourth consecutive P B Lawrence Stakes triumph when they saddle Here To Shock and Evaporate at Caulfield on Saturday.
The Hayes stable won the past three editions, with Mr Brightside claiming back-to-back victories before Gentleman Roy’s success last year.
Evaporate resumes as a four-year-old after a strong three-year-old campaign, highlighted by a third in the Caulfield Guineas, a Cox Plate start, and victory in the Carbine Club Stakes.
Trainer Ben Hayes said: “His trials have been excellent… he’s run at weight-for-age against some of the best horses in Australia.”
Here To Shock, last seen running second at Group 1 level in March, is also forward in his prep.
“He won $2 million last preparation and his rating doesn’t allow easier options,” Hayes said.
Here To Shock has drawn the outside gate in a field of 11, while Evaporate jumps from barrier three.
