RACE 1 NO.3 CITY OF LOVE
The Kim Waugh stable is on fire and they can kick off today’s meeting with winner with CITY OF LOVE who at her fifth race start should be able to secure win number one. Her two runs this campaign have been rock solid and being by So You Think I am sure she will relish the step up trip to the mile. Tye Angland is in dashing form and should grab the race by the horns here.
RACE 6 NO.9 UNBRIDLED POWER
UNBRIDLED POWER finally got back in the winner’s circle last start recording her second win from 19 starts and although it wasn’t a barnstorming win it was a win and I think she can now build on it. This is tougher but from barrier two she should get a soft run and the claim for Louise Day she will be hard to hold out on her home track.
RACE 8 NO.8 NOBLE CREED
To my eye there looks two winning chances being my good thing NOBLE CREED who is one start for one win and Poetic Charmer who has been found wanting on a few occasions albeit in tougher grade and he resumes here having been gelded but will be giving my selection 4.5kg and that my friend I hope is the difference. On debut Noble Creed sat behind a nice speed but when allowed to stride he went bang and put them to bed in two bounds. I think he is a city horse and he will hopefully prove that here.

RACE 4 NO.4 OAKFIELD TIME
A 900m dash and as expected the speed should be strong right from the get go with the two favourites All Stand and And So It Goesl hopefully pairing off and racing each other. I am going to have a peanut on OAKFIELD TIME at double figure odds really going off a run back in October here at Newcastle when he carried 2kg less than All Stand and beat him home and today where he gets 6.5kg off him. Yes I agree All Stand was attacked and he has improved enormously from back then but Oakfield Time has raced three times over the 900m here at Newcastle and gone outstanding on each occasion. At double fugures I think he deserves a little peanut.
