Passive Aggressive headed straight for the Creswick Stakes at Flemington

Trainer Grahame Begg says Passive Aggressive is right to press forward in her campaign for another run down the Flemington straight.

Begg has Passive Aggressive entered in the Listed AR Creswick Stakes (1200m) on Saturday in a bid to stretch her unbeaten record to four.

Passive Aggressive scored at Werribee and Pakenham before coming to town to record a win over 1100m at Flemington last Saturday.

Begg does not want to press on too far with Passive Aggressive after Saturday and would like to obtain some ‘Black Type’ for the daughter of Fastnet Rock before she is tipped out for a break.

Passive Aggressive is a sister to Missrock who was a multiple ‘Black Type’ winner and that was also placed at Group 1 level.

“We’re heading to the Creswick,” Begg said.

“She came through that last win at Flemington in great shape and we’re looking forward to Saturday.

“It would be nice to get some black type for her early in her career as she was an expensive filly from a good family, so black type would be good for her page later on.”

Begg said Passive Aggressive was likely to head for a break following Saturday’s outing then return for a light spring campaign ahead of more serious campaign next autumn.

Caulfield Cup runner-up Nonconformist returned to Begg’s stable on Thursday to commence his campaign for another Spring Carnival.

Nonconformist has not raced since running second to Incentivise in last year’s Caulfield Cup.

Begg was preparing Nonconformist for a Brisbane Winter Carnival campaign, before a set-back put a halt to those plans.

“He looks great and had a good break,” Begg said.

“We’ll give him a good foundation before he returns with the Caulfield Cup his aim.”
