Tyler Schiller is confident that Victorian filly Price Tag will be tough to beat in the $2 million Inglis Millennium, provided she adapts to the clockwise racing direction. Price Tag became the clear $4 favourite after drawing barrier 11 on Tuesday, while other top contenders like Rivellino (16) and unbeaten Within The Law (18) drew difficult gates.
Schiller, who partnered Price Tag in her runner-up finish to My Gladiola in the Blue Diamond Preview (1000m) at Sandown last month, was impressed by her performance. “She is a nice little filly. She’s got plenty of upside,” Schiller commented. “She is still doing a little bit wrong, but if she does everything right, it will take a good horse to beat her.”
A $600,000 Easter Sale purchase, Price Tag is by Zoustar out of Humma Humma and is in her second racing campaign after a strong debut season. Schiller is optimistic about her chances at Randwick, especially since she previously showed tendencies to hang right, which could make the reverse direction beneficial.
A field of 16 plus four emergencies has been set for the Inglis Millennium (1100m), with Price Tag one of two runners for trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman.
