No. 3 Victorella – Bet Now: $1.90
Victorella showed some decent talent to finished a credible third at Newcastle on debut and the form coming out of that contest has been fairly strong.
She did plenty wrong in that race and she should take good improvement from that experience.
Newcastle – Race 5 4:05PM AEST
No. 8 Distinctive Glory – Bet Now: $2.80
I am confident that Distinctive Glory is a better horse than his overall record suggests.
This is a genuine drop in class and the drop back to 1350 metres suggests.
He will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he does look like the standout in a very weak race.
Newcastle – Race 7 5:15PM AEST
No. 7 General Soho – Bet Now: $2.60
General Soho has an excellent chance to return to winning form in the Jungle Juice Cup.
The Epaulette gelding has generally raced in stronger company than this and his recent form really hasn’t been that bad.
Barrier five is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.
Newcastle – Race 8 5:50PM AEST
No. 9 Forever Jude – Bet Now: $3.50
Forever Jude has been racing well without winning this campaign and he is easily the most consistent horse in this field.
Barrier one is ideal for him and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Jeff Penza in the saddle.
