No. 5 Rising Sphere – Bet Now: $SP.00
This is an interesting race and there are a number of promising horses in this field.
Rising Sphere was gallant in defeat at Geelong last start and was only narrowly denied a maiden race win.
He should take good improvement from that effort and he has the early speed to go forward from the wide barrier draw.
Geelong – Race 6 4:00PM AEST
No. 2 Rocking Eagle – Bet Now: $7.00
Rocking Eagle is outstanding value at his current quote of $12.
His first-up effort at Pakenham was too bad to be true and I am willing to forgive him for that effort.
His form before that was strong and on his best form he does have a genuine edge over the rest of this field.
Geelong – Race 7 4:30PM AEST
No. 2 Fiery Red – Bet Now: $5.50
I am confident that Fiery Red is a better horse than his current record suggests and he is great value at $10.
He has form around some good horses during his career to date and his two barrier trials ahead of his return to the races have been good.
Ethan Brown will roll forward in the early stages of this race and he will give his rivals something to chase.
Geelong – Race 8 5:00PM AEST
No. 3 Irish Delight – Bet Now: $2.90
Irish Delight has gone to another level over the past 12 months and there is no reason that she can’t continue her winning ways.
She led from start to finish to win at Ararat last start and the form coming out of that race has been strong.
This isn’t race with a huge amount of early speed and Jacob Opperman should be able to control the race from the outset.
