THE MECHANIC has been ultra impressive at his two starts winning and doing it in what seemed second gear. He obviously takes on some better credentialed rivals here and from his ideal gate he should stalk the speed and be able to use his sprint. He has just turned five but he looks a more settled and mature horses now that can continue to step up.
