Randwick Guineas Free Tips, Bets and Field Preview – 2021

The Randwick Guineas looms as the strongest race for three-year-olds this autumn and a talented field will step out in Sydney on Saturday.

Kiwi raider Aegon stamped himself as the runner to beat with a dominant performance in the Hobartville a couple of weeks ago, and it comes as no surprise that he has opened favourite in Randwick Guineas betting.

Have I put him on top of my 2021 Randwick Guineas tips? Scroll down to find out.

Randwick Guineas – Winner

No. 1 Aegon – Bet Now: $2.30

Yeah, I have.

Aegon has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence since making his debut, and while I thought he might need the run in the Hobartville Stakes to tune up, he absolutely didn’t.

The Sacred Falls gelding has made five trips to the races for five wins, winning the Group 1 NZ 2000 Guineas and the Karaka Millions 3YO race most notably.

He has drawn a central barrier, will be steered by Hugh Bowman and I really cannot find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Randwick Guineas – 2nd

No. 6 Lion’s Roar That – Bet Now: $18.00

I am a big fan of Lion’s Roar and while I think that the Rosehill Guineas looks to be his ideal race, I’m confident he’ll run a bolter in the Randwick Guineas.

The Contributer gelding stamped himself as a runner to follow during his spring prep, recording consecutive wins in provincial races before nearly pulling off a huge upset when second in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes.

He was caught wide but kept finding to the line when fifth in the Hobartville and he’ll take good improvement for that hit-out.

Randwick Guineas – 3rd

No. 3 North Pacific – Bet Now: $8.00

North Pacific has improved for two starts back this time and is ready to peak third-up in the Randwick Guineas.

The son of Brazen Beau was excellent during the spring, winning the Up And Coming Stakes and ending his prep a close-up second in the Golden Rose.

He finished fourth in the Eskimo Prince Stakes when resuming this time, second in the Hobartville, and getting out to a mile at this point of his prep looks ideal.

Randwick Guineas – 4th

No. 2 King’s Legacy – Bet Now: $20.00

Two-time Group 1 winner King’s Legacy clearly needed the run when he finished sixth in the Hobartville when resuming, but he is a horse that tends to enjoy sharp improvement with a run under his belt, and I think that he can fight out the finish of the Randwick Guineas.

The Redoute’s Choice colt clearly found his best form at the end of his two-year-old season, but he returned some nice efforts during the spring, highlighted by his third placing in the Golden Rose.

The booking of Tom Marquand to ride is positive and he is drawn to receive a lovely run.
