Tattersall’s Tiara Free Tips, Bets and Field Preview – 2021

It’s the final Group 1 race of the season and the strongest edition of the Tattersall’s Tiara that I can remember.

Often, it’s made up of the mares that contest the Stradbroke, a few locals and a couple of extra stragglers, but that simply isn’t the case in 2021, and the Tattersall’s Tiara has drawn some of the country’s best gallopers, including five previous Group 1 winners and plenty of genuine black type talent.

You can find my 2021 Tattersall’s Tiara Tips below.

Tattersall’s Tiara – Winner

No. 7 Brooklyn Hustle – Bet Now: $13.00

She has returned to the races in career-best form this time, I’ve stuck with her throughout, and I simply cannot jump off the Brooklyn Hustle train before her major target.

The Starspangledbanner mare kept all of her best work for late when fifth in the Group 1 Robert Sangster at the beginning of May and simply hasn’t looked back, winning both the Proud Miss Stakes and the Dane Ripper Stakes in the wake.

Her drawing of barrier 12 isnt too much of a concern as she’ll get back regardless, and a performance similar to that which she mustered here a fortnight ago would see her right into the finish again.

Tattersall’s Tiara – 2nd

No. 8 Subpoenaed – Bet Now: $9.00

Subpoenaed is another one of Australia’s best mares that is yet to taste Group 1 success, and she should receive every chance in the Tattersall’s Tiara.

The Rip Van Winkle mare has been a strong and consistent performer for the Waller yard since making her debut, and she was freshened after finishing second in the Robert Sangster; returning to finish fifth, beaten just over a length in the Stradbroke Handicap a fortnight ago.

I’m confident that run will have brought her right back on, she can settle a little closer to the speed from her inside draw and dropping back into mares’ grade should also be beneficial.

Tattersall’s Tiara – 3rd

No. 16 Odeum – Bet Now: $6.50

Odeum has run one bad race in her entire career and the Tattersall’s Tiara represents another key chance of success for her.

The Written Tycoon filly won the Thousand Guineas in spring and ended her campaign an agonizingly close second in the Empire Rose.

While she had clearly had enough by the time she finished twelfth of thirteen in the Queen Of The Turf, Odeum returned from a let-up to finish half a length second behind Brooklyn Hustle in the Dane Ripper, and she too will take plenty of benefit into this contest.

Tattersall’s Tiara – 4th

No. 15 Emeralds – Bet Now: $34.00

I am a big fan of Emeralds and I think that she can run a cheeky race fresh in the Tattersall’s Tiara.

The Sebring mare has picked of several good races throughout her career, and John Sargent has clearly had this race earmarked for some time.

She has had the benefit of a couple of nice trials in the lead up to her return, she goes well on good and soft tracks, and she is drawn to receive a lovely run under Jason Collett from barrier 6.
