Trapeze Artist has recorded an emotional win in the Group One Canterbury Stakes at Randwick, with winning jockey Blake Shinn paying tribute to regular rider Tye Angland.
The four-year-old cruised to an all-the-way victory over in track record time, scoring comfortably from Shoals and Prompt Response.
“This is Tye’s horse, all the jockey’s in this race are riding for Tye,” said Shinn, Angland’s replacement after he was left quadriplegic after a race fall in Hong Kong last year.
