Waller can’t fault Winx in Plate build-up

Trainer Chris Waller says Winx’s work since her most recent win could not have been any better as she prepares to chase a third Cox Plate win.

Winx is the short-priced favourite to join Kingston Town as a three-time Cox Plate winner on Saturday at Moonee Valley where she attempts to stretch her winning sequence to 22 races.

Waller said Winx did some three-quarter pace work at Flemington early on Thursday and would have a pretty quiet couple of days until the big race.
