Chilly Girl will look to follow in the footsteps of her dam when she steps out in stakes company first-up at Rosehill.
Her mother I Got Chills created a strong impression early, winning the Listed Maribyrnong Trial (1000m) at Flemington in 2005 before scoring again impressively at her next start.
By Trapeze Artist, Chilly Girl has shown similar early promise, according to co-trainer Sterling Alexiou.
“She was a very fast filly herself, I Got Chills, and hopefully we win on debut like I Got Chills did,” Alexiou said.
“She’s going the right way. She has trialled really nicely twice this time in.”
Chilly Girl is a homebred for Bert Vieira and will be ridden by Tim Clark, who partnered her in a recent trial.
“Tim said she was very pushbutton and gave him a nice feel,” Alexiou said.
The stable will also saddle Just Party in the Asahi Super Dry Handicap (1500m) and Sequista in the Kia Ora Bloodlines to Headlines Handicap (1200m).
“Much maligned by punters but he is the fortnightly ATM for the owners,” Alexiou said.
