No. 1 Showtime resumes after showing very good ability against some smart two-year-olds last prep. His recent trial was very good and I expect his class to tai him a long way today. No. 6 Songlike has finished send in both runs back this prep. She is a serious filly, but she does need everything to go her way. Chance, but too short for me. No. 3 My Zebrinka has trialed well leading into this debut run.

Race 2 – 2:00 PM BENCHMARK 73 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
No. 5 Solar Patch won well first-up and then stuck on very well in a hot field the last start at Randwick. He should be ready to peak now and barrier four ensures a lovely run throughout. No. 8 Moss Trip attacked the line very well to score a nice win on debut at Kembla. I like that she has had two trials this time in and she should get envy chance from the gun draw. No. 6 Super Ex is a lightly raced colt who is improving with every start.

Race 3 – 2:35 PM BENCHMARK 71 HANDICAP (1550 METRES)
No. 7 Arigold should have finished closer to the winner the last start, but the young jock was very lazy on him early in the race. He is a fit horse who should get every chance from the nice barrier. I would like to see young Adkins roll forward and put this horse in the race if he can. No. 5 Up ‘N’ Rolling resumes after a very luckless second the last start at this track last start. He is a smart horse, but it’s hard to get a guide on how well he is going this prep because his recent trials have been quiet. No. 2 No Pushover has won both races this time in and she must be respected again today from the good draw.

Race 4 – 3:10 PM BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
No. 2 Single And Free was only fair the last start, but I am happy to forgive that effort because she never fires a shot second-up. She is ready to peak now and I like that they have taken 3kgs off her back. A chance at odds.No. 5 Vienna Romance is a very consistent horse and No. 1 Irithea has done nothing wrong this time in.

Race 5 – 3:45 PM BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP (1250 METRES)
No. 1 Lubiton is a talented animal who resumes after two very nice trials. Her form last prep was top class, she gets in well at the weights after the claim and this trip suits. She has group ability and I can’t say the same about any horse in this race. No. 5 Parlay Vous will be running on strongly and No. 11 Klisstra will run another brave race with no weight on her back.

No. 7 Princess Posh is a 4yo mare who resumes after two good trials. This is a tough race, but she is a talented horse who always runs a nice race first-up. I expect her to sit behind the speed and fly home late. Take the $7.50 because I think that is big overs. No. 13 Beacon won like a good horse on debut and he must be respected again, but I am a bit worried about the wide barrier second-up. No. 4 Cudabeen is a consistent mare who will appreciate the drop in grade today.

Race 7 – 4:55 PM BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP (1900 METRES)
No. 2 Wahng Wah ran home well to score a nice win at Randwick last start. She will find this easier and the good speed up front will really suit this horse. No. 6 Trenchant improved the last start when running 3rd at Warwick Farm. The rise in the trip is ideal, but he just needs a bit of luck from that wide barrier. No. 7 Estikhraaj is a fit horse who will be running on well again today.
