Trainer Peter Snowden believes classy filly Memo only needs to replicate her juvenile form to be a major player in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Memo resumes after a standout two-year-old campaign, headlined by victory in the Magic Night Stakes (1200m) and a runner-up finish in the Magic Millions Classic (1200m).

“She is a bit stronger, a bit heavier. I’m just hoping she can bring back what she had last time because last time in she was very solid,” Snowden said. “The indications are there. Her trials have been good… and we’re seeing good signs at home in her work. She is on track to run well.”

The race also features quality opposition, with Sweet Embrace Stakes winner Within The Law returning, unbeaten Agarwood stepping into stakes grade, and Percy Sykes Stakes runner-up Savvy Hallie boasting race fitness after a recent win at Newcastle.

Snowden expects Memo to stretch beyond 1200m this campaign, with the Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) shaping as a key test.
