Adrian Bott concedes Tulloch Lodge will approach this year’s Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) without the weight of favouritism.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable will saddle Knightsbridge and fillies Shiki, Lumbini and By Choice in the $3 million feature.

Bott prepared Storm Boy to dominate the race last year but says this time the team comes in as outsiders.

“You can make a good case for each of them going into the run,” Bott said.

“I won’t sort of put a top seed but we’ve probably taken confidence off the horses that have won their most recent runs.”

Shiki is the shortest-priced of the quartet after her Gold Pearl victory and will be ridden by Tim Clark.

“Shiki, there’s good timing about her win, she looked to do it very well,” Bott said.

“She looked very sharp, so a lot to like about that.”

Bott remains confident Knightsbridge, Lumbini and By Choice can also feature despite tougher market odds.

Warwoven heads betting at $1.90, with Zip Lock and Tornado Valley next best.
