Race 1
Early start with a big 10 race card, and a difficult 2yo race to kick off. The market has shown its hand early, with the unseen 6 ADORADIVA from the Barry Lockwood stable, being supported early from $6 into $3. Without a public trial, and being from a good stable, not willing to bet against it.

Race 2
Second division of the 2YO here, and the race is no easier to dissect. Of the raced brigade, 3 MISHANI RULER has the superior form. He was placed behind recent Metro runner up Grand De Lago on debut, then raced well second up when narrowly defeated at Toowoomba He should sit off a good speed here and be closing hard late.

The Waller trained 7 GARLAND has trialed ok in preparation for her first QLD run. She wasn’t beaten all that far in 2 NSW runs, and looks very well placed here. The tongue tie goes on first time, she can race on speed and looks hard to beat.

4 RECKLESS CHOICE has been very strong in the market at 2 runs back from spell, all on wet tracks. He gets back onto a firmer track here and gets his chance to break through. 2 RIDGWAY was a beaten fav on his QLD debut and would need to improve to win here.

Looks a really good race for 2 GODZONE GIRL. She was a total forgive run last start at Doomben, impossible to make ground from where she was. The 3 place getters in that race ran the trifecta in the Toowoomba Cup, which is the right form for this. She can settle back in the field, build momentum from the 600m and be too strong late.

1 READY FOR DANGER looks ready to win here 4th up. Back on to a Good track and drawn in gate 1, he can sit closer to the speed here, and be winning. Looks a very even race on paper, so happy to be with this horse from the good draw getting the best run in transit.

4 LET’S PARTY MARTY has the runs on the board in stronger grade than this and comes up against impressive provincial horse 7 SPURCRAFT. I think these horses sit 1-2 in the run and dominate the race and will run the quinella. Leaning toward 7 SPURCRAFT who can lead and have them all chasing, at the EW price.

5 TE AMO was dominant in winning first up for the Edmonds / Lloyd combination first up in QLD. The filly arguably would have won by further, as the day played out no horse on that section won for the day, which made her effort even more impressive. Has drawn awkward here but has the speed and class to overcome that.

10 STRYKE OF DELIGHT was a good winner here 3 back on a good track, before narrowly being beaten by subsequent city winner MARTINELLI. “They” knew he wasn’t winning last time when drifting $4 out to $7 beaten 13L, watch the market here back on a good surface, he could be the big improver, and an EW play at the price.

The Matty Dunn stable has a strong hand here with 9 MIA’S GOT CLASS & 14 TRISTAN DE ANGEL both leading chances. I’m leaning toward 14 TRISTAN DE ANGEL who comes here through a strong Saturday Metro race. He has drawn well and looks a handy 3yo going through the grades.
