RACE 4 NO.2 GRAND SOLEIL
GRAND SOLEIL arrived from New Zealand and was chugging along nicely with a third at Wyong and a second here at Hawkesbury before a good tough win at Taree over the mile. It came crashing down with a blow-out at Canterbury when she stopped as though shot when pulling up with cardiac arrhythmia. She has trialled nicely since and I expect to handle these and be back on the progressive train.
RACE 5 NO.5 FLOWER OF LOVE
Betting in 1800m maiden’s at the provincial is fraught with danger but today I am braving it and declaring the best of the day is in such an event and her name is FLOWER OF LOVE. This Redoute’s Choice mare has only raced five times recording three minor placings and I think she only needs to repeat her last start second at Wyong in a benchmark 64 behind Panzerfaust and she will get out of maiden grade. Tye Angland takes the reins to stand over the mare and that should just about get the job done.
