Warwick Farm – Race 6 3:45PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 3 Bigboyroy – Bet Now: $5.50

Bigboyroy is a better horse than his overall suggests and he can make a winning return to the races at Warwick Farm this afternoon.

He has produced a number of high-rating performances during his racing career to date and on his best form he does have a genuine edge over the rest of this field.

Robbie Dolan can settle Bigboyroy right on the speed in the early stages and he will prove tough to run down.

Warwick Farm – Race 7 4:20PM AEST

No. 9 Special Snap – Bet Now: $3.80

Special Snap has been racing well without winning this campaign and has an excellent chance to return to winning form this afternoon.

She should now be at peak fitness after two tough race starts and the fact that Nash Rawiller is back in the saddle is a genuine positive.

The wide barrier draw gives Rawiller plenty of options and that can help the Shooting To Win filly record another race win.

Doomben – Race 6 3:28PM AEST

No. 4 Empire Games – Bet Now: $3.30

Empire Games has only recorded one race win during his racing career to date and I am confident that he is a better horse than that record suggests.

The Adelaide gelding was only narrowly denied at the Sunshine Coast last start and this contest at Doomben this afternoon isn’t much tougher.

Barrier two is ideal and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Jim Byrne in the saddle.

Sandown – Race 8 4:30PM AEST

No. 5 Independent Road – Bet Now: $4.00

Independent Road finished second behind Betcha Flying at Flemington last start and she went on to run in the Australasian Oaks.

This is a genuine drop in class and I still think he has the scope to improve on that effort.

He maps to get a lovely run in transit with Mark Zahra in the saddle and he is well and truly over the odds at $4.60.
