Doomben – Race 6 2:15PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 3 Scallopini – Bet Now: $7.50

Scallopini is excellent value to make a winning return to the races in the Hinkler Handicap.

He went to another level during his summer campaign and if he produces that sort of form, he will prove very tough to beat.

The Snitzel gelding has recorded three wins from his six first-up starts and he maps to get a lovely run in transit from barrier five.

Doomben – Race 7 2:55PM AEST

EACH WAY: No. 3 Brimham Rocks – Bet Now: $9.50

Brimham Rocks is not the most consistent stayer in the world, but he is capable of a high-rating effort on his day.

He won the Naturalism Stakes in the Spring last year and went on to run well in The Metropolitan and the Bendigo Cup.

This isn’t the strongest edition of the Chairman’s Handicap and he represents outstanding value at his current quote.

Rosehill – Race 6 2:30PM AEST

No. 5 Statuesquely – Bet Now: $6.50

Statuesquely has an excellent chance to make a winning return to the races on Saturday.

It has been a while between race wins, but she is a consistent performer and her barrier trial victory ahead of her racing return was excellent.

There is no early speed in this contest and Tim Clark should be able to take her straight to the front. She will give her rivals something to catch.

Caulfield – Race 8 4:05PM AEST

No. 12 Jumbo Ozaki – Bet Now: $3.60

Jumbo Ozaki has always had plenty of potential and he is now starting to deliver on the track.

He won over this track and distance at Caulfield last start and the form coming out of that race has been very strong.

This race is no tougher and he maps to get a lovely run, right on the speed, with Damien Oliver in the saddle.
