American Anthem has improved each time that she has been seen at the races and she finds herself in a very winnable contest at Mildura this afternoon.

She has generally raced in stronger company than this and on exposed form she does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.

Mildura – Race 5 3:30PM AEST

No. 3 Cop A Clip – Bet Now: $3.40

The drop back to 1000 metres seems perfect for Cop A Clip and she is well-placed to score a second race win.

She has finished second in her two race starts over this distance and she does have speed to burn.

Harry Coffey will be able to settle her right on the speed and she will give her rivals something to catch.

Mildura – Race 7 4:30PM AEST

No. 3 Justwins – Bet Now: $3.30

Justwins scored a maiden race win at Kilmore last start and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat.

He has form around a number of promising gallopers and it really would not surprise to see him go to a new level this preparation.

Barrier five is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Mildura – Race 8 5:00PM AEST

No. 1 Cake Walker – Bet Now: $3.20

I don’t think that there is as much between Cake Walker and Liam’s The Boss as the current market suggests.

Cake Walker doesn’t win out of turn, but she has generally raced in stronger company than this and there is no fitter horse in this field.

There are some unknowns around Liam’s The Boss ands I am keen to take him on at the current quote.
