Trainer Chris Waller has dismissed any concerns about champion mare Winx racing with synthetic hoof filler in one of her feet ahead of her bid for a 17th consecutive win in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Waller said the filler was on the outside wall of a hoof and was a precaution not a problem.
“It gives the farrier a bit more hoof to bang a nail into. If you don’t (use it) you can get movement and they can pull a shoe off,” Waller said.
