Doomben 10,000 favourite Russian Revolution has drawn well in barrier five of 15 for the first Group One race of the Brisbane winter carnival.

Last year’s winner Music Magnate will jump from seven on Saturday while Fell Swoop has fared badly in 14.

Takedown has the outside alley while Japonisme jumps from the inside gate.

The race has been reduced from 1350 metres to 1200 this year after adjustments to the carnival program.
