NO.4 DECEPTACON
First time to the races is a big occasion and I have no doubt it took its toll on DECEPTACON at Canterbury a fortnight ago. This filly trialled outstanding prior to debut so there is no doubt she is full of ability and its just about producing it on race day. Kris Lees send her to the races today with the addition of blinkers and has come back 100m to the flying 1000m. If she does things right she will kick off the two day carnival off in super fashion for the punters. Trilli Filly is a query for me having not started since running fourth on debut here back in December 2015. She trialled nicely albeit six weeks ago when winning here. Tommy Berry takes the ride for Scone trainer Rodney Northam.

RACE 6 Class 2 1300M
NO.8 SISKEN
SISKEN had always shown ability but she has definitely come back stronger recording two wins in succession at Newcastle then Canterbury. She has drawn an awkward gate today but I think she has enough early speed to cross and dictate this race. The extra distance albeit only 50m as she steps to 1300m won’t pose any problems and with a nice dry track she gets conditions to suit. Her dangers id any will come from Dixie Chick and Pound Sterling. Dixie Chick was good first up before a few little things went against her second up and it was on a soft track. The firm surface is a huge aid for her here. Pound Sterling has run well in both runs this preparation and could easily get the perfect run as he is drawn a few inside Sisken who may push him across into a good spot.
