RICHIES BEST BETS

WYONG

TUESDAY 16 MAY

RAIL: +2m                 TRACK: Good

RACE 2          Class 2 1000M

 NO.3               ALL CARISMA

ALL CARISMA has drawn the inside barrier and like his last start maiden victory he should bounce and be able to find the front and control the race. He was dominant running away to win by a big space in a slick 33.29 for the final 600m. Several of the horses he trounced have come out and broken their maiden status at the next outing adding merit to his commanding win. Jeanneau steps out for the first time for Matthew Smith having shown good ability when with Paul Perry. It’s the query.

RACE 6          Class 2 2100M

 NO.5               BAYSA

Chris Waller looks to have this 2100m Class 2 race at his mercy with the two leading chances SAYED and BAYSA with top jockeys Hugh Bowman and Kerrin McEvoy to do battle of the charges respectively. Baysa will carry 54kg some seven and half kilos less than her stablemate. Baysa has only started five times in her career so she has plenty to learn but one thing she looks like being able to do is stay. Her latest effort at Canterbury off a four week break in a far stronger event than this was should stand her in good stead against this lot. Sayed was very good blowing a field away last start at Newcastle and is the obvious danger. Bowman and from barrier one will make sure he has an economical run but I am hoping the pull in the weights gets Baysa over the line first.

RACE 8          Bnechmark 65    1600M

 NO.2               COLLATERAL

COLLATERAL returned off a 70 day break and was solid when settling back and after finding traffic found the line powerfully over 1400m. Stepping to the mile here and from a good barrier he will settle a lot closer and looks to find a very moderate Bm65 event. He has won second up previously and a repeat of his second up effort last preparation when storming home will see him hard to hold out.
