Alpine Blaze rarely runs a bad race over this trip and is a much better chance than her last two runs suggest. Jeff Galea’s two-year-old was no match over the 600m last week at The Meadows but does look better suited getting back to the 545m where she’s won twice previously. She should take improvement into this race and the inside box can only be seen as an advantage.
Ballarat – Race 11 5:53PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 3 Tiger’s Crest – Bet Now: $3.40
Tiger’s Crest has won two of her three starts in Grade 5 T3 class and she should appreciate getting back to familiar company here. The two-year-old has performed below par of late, but considering she owns a nice track and distance PB of 22.22 seconds, she should be up to winning this.
Ballarat – Race 12 6:15PM AEST
No. 3 Blackpool Holly – Bet Now: $3.40
Blackpool Holly is tough to fault over this track and distance where she’s found the money in four of her ten runs. The daughter of Barcia Bale should go forward from Box 3 and she is capable of going all the way with plenty of early speed under the hood.
