Don Windsor returned a very good effort first up from a spell over 2300m at Menangle last week.
The seven year old gelding has been racing in career best form in recent times and he managed two wins in a row last prep.
He will only get better the further he gets into his prep but he can pop up in this race over the short course at double figure odds.
Menangle – Race 6 4:03PM AEST
No. 8 Franco Hampton – Bet Now: $2.40
Franco Hampton has been racing well so far this prep and he broke through for a much deserved win last time out by over three meters as the short priced favourite.
This is a much tougher ask but if he can run a similar time, he will be very tough to beat.
Menangle – Race 7 4:37PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 5 Expensive Ego – Bet Now: $1.85
Expensive Ego has not been seen at the races since winning at group 2 level in August of 2019 but the early money suggests he will be winning here.
He is unbeaten in six career race starts including two Group 1 wins in Queensland.
