Plutonium was beaten as the very shorted priced favourite last start by the narrowest of margins but that was his first go at Gloucester Park and he will be better for the experience.

He should be ready to peak at his third run and is very much capable of winning a race of this quality.

EACH WAY: No. 9 Mighty Conqueror – Bet Now: $6.00

I’m keen to take on the favourite Galactic Star who has come up a very short price in the fourth race of the evening at Gloucester Park.

Mighty Conqueror has won 18 of his 37 career starts including his last start at this track and distance.

This is a step up in grade but he represents good value.

Gloucester Park – Race 5 8:52PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 1 Black Jack Baby – Bet Now: $2.60

Black Jack Baby is the filly to beat in the Group 1 WA Oaks having won 11 of her 20 career starts and eight of 15 at this track.

She finished fourth behind Unconditional last start but the step up in distance is a key to her chances as is the draw on the pegs where she can control the race.
