Watchful Lady has just the one win at this circuit but has been unplaced just once from eight races at Newcastle.

She is a last start winner at Tamworth and will get all the favours from the draw on the pegs.

Newcastle – Race 6 4:17PM AEST

No. 8 Bettor Watch Arden – Bet Now: $4.40

Bettor Watch Arden could not have been much more impressive than he was when winning on debut at this track and distance.

The four year old gelding started as the $1.35 favourite in that race and scored by three metres.

I can’t see why he can’t make it two from two here.

Newcastle – Race 7 4:57PM AEST

No. 5 Hes Perfectly Ideal – Bet Now: $3.40

Hes Perfectly Ideal put together back to back wins earlier this prep at Penrith and Newcastle.

He then raced over the shorter distances without much success but he will appreciate the step up in distance in a race that lacks a whole heap of depth.
