Whiskiesonthebeach has not been beaten far at his past two races at big odds and he can again be in the money in a race of this quality. He does not win out of turn however he has drawn well here and again represents good value at his current price.

Bathurst – Race 3 6:14PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 9 Animal – Bet Now: $2.10

Four year old gelding Animal has managed seven wins from 18 career race starts and has missed the placings on just five occasions. He put together two impressive wins earlier this prep and was only narrowly beaten as the $1.35 favourite last time out. This is his first go at the 2260m, but he is more than capable in a field of this quality.

Bathurst – Race 5 7:10PM AEST

EACH-WAY: No. 7 College Chapel – Bet Now: $7.50

The favourite for this event Catch A Moment has had four goes at this distance for just the one minor placing and I can’t get him close to the $1.14 quoted. I’m keen to take it on and have landed on College Chapel who put together three dominant wins in a row at the end of his last prep. He returned with a disappointing eighth first up but he was restrained at the start and not everything went to plan. He can bounce back here.
