Matthew Howard of Mounting Yard Mail was back at Rosehill Gardens on the weekend and for those that follow on race day had an absolute fill up. Of the 9 races on Saturday 5 of his on top selections from the yard saluted with another 2 running second and arguably with better rides could have also won. Race 1 – 11:25AM TAB HANDICAP (1350 METRES)

HUALALAI Great big strong bugger. Has improvement to come fitness wise and will improve on a firmer track. 2nd
GAULOIS Best moving animal here and conditions should suit. 1st
BULL MARKET Looks spot on today. Great in the coat, relaxed, moves well and cut out of the ground should be ok. 6th
CONDOR Looks reasonably fit first up however very anxious in the yard led by the clerk the whole time. 3rd
ARRESTAR Strong gelding, coat has improvement to come. Not the worst. 5th
EMPEROR HARADA Not fit. 7th
GUIPURE Needs to grow into her frame. Should make a nice 3 year old. 4th
BIDWEE Wont appreciate track conditions today, would be better on top of the ground and despite it being winter is getting quite warm in the yard. 9th
MOMENTUM TO WIN best of the roughies for me. Looks like a wet track type of horse to the eye. 8th
Race 2 – 12:00PM AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

HIGH MIST Cracking style of horse this with veins popping. Should race well. 3rd
FARAWAY TOWN best wet track type in the field. Looks very forward. 4th
JUST DREAMING Paraded probably 1 length better last start than today but holding condition reasonably well. 1st
TEST THE WORLD (NZ) SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
ARBEITSAM Not really a fan of this horse from a mounting yard perspective. Should get an easy lead. 7th
SAMADOUBT best this horse has ever looked. Not one that has caught my eye in the past but does so today. 5th
UPTOWN LAD has no wet track form however parades as if it should get through conditions. Mapped to go right back but another that parades best I’ve seen for some time. 8th
WAYANKA SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
NONPAREIL SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
INSENSATA Should appreciate cut out of the ground however I would prefer on a tighter turning track. 2nd
TRAVANCORE (NZ) Really not focusing in the yard today. 6th

FOREVER NEWYORK looks like a Clydesdale. Carrying too much condition and needs a dry track. 4th
ZAMEX Looks cherry ripe today. Looks better than these. 1st

MISTER MARMALADE Parading in good order here today. Fit and focused. 7th
TRYING Classic wet track type of horse who has been clipped so you can see its fit. 10th

THUNDER ROAD Back in trip here today so not sure of the thought process but despite 39 days between runs looks reasonably fit. 6th
EVA JEAN Others parading better. 3rd
O’LORDY would prefer this horse on top of the ground. 2nd
MURRMAID Fitness wise ok but really not walking well in the yard. 8th
BIG DON Big Don by Big Brown equals Big NO. 9th
OUT OF THE NIGHT Really patchy in the coat. Not for me. 12th
STRADA PRINCE Real wet track type however is getting quite warm in the yard. 5th

FEELIN THE LOVE (NZ) Not carrying much condition now, coat looks well but trained off slightly from last start. 5th

FOREIGN AFFAIR Up from Melbourne so don’t know much about it but parades very well here. Lovely loose walking mare. Wet track suits. 2nd
ALL IN THE REFLEXS SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
NONPAREIL Commands filly so you know she will get through the ground. Moves well today and looks focused. Should run well. 4th
PLENTY TO LIKE SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
VALIDATE Strong mare but not in my top selections. I think she needs firmer footing than she gets here today. 6th
JUST STELLAR What is this horse doing here? Popped up to see Vivid? 7th

KELLYVILLE FLYER I’ve seen this horse parade much better than today. 9th
MOSS ‘N’ DALE (NZ) Wanted to oppose this horse today but he does parade particularly well here. Conditions suit. 2nd
SIGNPOSTED (IRE) Looks much better in the coat today than last start but is still one run short of peak fitness. 11th
LIAPARI (NZ) Top selection from the mounting yard. Has been up a while now however is holding condition very well. No knocks. 1st
VASSAL (GB) SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
COUNT OF LIMONADE (IRE) Not walking well at all today. 13th
LOUIE SEA KAY Not a wet track type and displays one key behavioral negative. 8th

OBSIDIAN (USA) got time for this horse, looks reasonably forward however coat is not ready yet. 5th
EGYPTIAN RULER Fat. 6th
KINGSGUARD (NZ) Has improved 3 lengths between runs but still half a run short of peak fitness. 10th
ASHKANND (FR) Getting very warm in the yard, no. 7th
REIBY THE RED I keep getting suckered into this horse, walks like a panther. Hard to catch. 3rd

TUCANCHOO (NZ) Wanted to like this horse in the yard but again very plain in the yard. 2nd
FOREIGN PRINCE (NZ) First time this horse has looked fit this prep and coat is much better. 9th
SUPPLY AND DEMAND Top selection here again. Really like how this horse has paraded last two starts. Used to get warm, now looks very relaxed. Coat in great order. 1st
ALEGRIA Was plain last start, parading much better today. Great mover. 8th
IGGI POP (NZ) Still fat. 10th
ARALDO JUNIOR (GER) Looks like a hose that would prefer a drier track. 5th
MONTAUK Good order today. Coat looks great, fit and focused. 3rd
SO WILLIE Holding condition well. 6th

BADAJOZ Looks ready to race here. In great order. Great loose walking commands gelding. 2nd
PIONEERING Looks reasonably forward for a Waller runner however has improvement to come in the coat which is still quite patchy. 4th
SECRET TRAIL Looks really healthy in the coat today. Great moving Denman mare, should run well. 7th

LAST WITNESS needs the run, not wound up for this. 9th
SIR PLUSH (NZ) has returned in good order. Moving well, 90% fit. 1st

KING’S OFFICER Not really a mounting yard horse as it also looks patchy in the coat and gets warm. Today is no different. 6th
CARZOFF (FR) Very fit and wet track should be ok however is getting warm in the yard. Has been on toes the whole time. 2nd
SPEED HERO Looks like a 1400 to miler to my eye. May struggle to get the distance. 3rd
GAMBLER’S BLUES SCRATCHED SCRATCHED
MORE THAN FABULOUS I have time for this horse. Gets the sting out today. Focused and healthy. 8th
BROGUE (NZ) Looks fit, however not focusing in the yard. Mind is elsewhere. 10th
COLLATERAL Top selection here from the yard. A very healthy horse this, looks spot on in condition and focusing well in the yard. 1st
OAKFIELD MIDNIGHT Looks outclassed here. 11th

RAIJINZ He is a hard horse to find this gelding. I’ve fallen into him a few times as he usually parades pretty well but runs below his looks. Looks well again here 14th
DARCI’S AFFAIR (NZ) Couple runs short of 4th
STAR WARS (NZ) Biggest horse to parade all day. Wont like these wet wintery conditions 11th
PICK ME UP Really nice horse this. Has come on nicely since his first up run. Tricky map to deal with 2nd
DREAM LANE Should be ok today with sting out conditions. Relaxed and focused in the yard 10th
CELTIC TIGER (NZ) Parading poorly here. Behavioral issues and coat not there 15th
KISEKI DANE Holding condition ok deep into his prep however I have others parading better 7th
LAY DOWN THE LAW Not the worst at odds. Looks a real wet track type from the yard 12th
HELENSBURGH HAM Looks completely outclassed here 16th
OSCAR’S CHOICE Better suited in the provincials 9th
RADICAL IMPACT Looks more of a tight turning track type of horse. 13th
PAKAYA PRINCE is a big tall bugger is hard fit will be forward and looks like it will appreciate the sting out. Top selection 3rd
TATOOSH Still needs this run and coat has a lot of improvement to come 8th
SNAPPY ONE SCRATCHED SCRATCHED

FRANCESCO Returned in good order, prefer it over a mile 5th
ALL IN THE REFLEXS Fit and moving well in the yard 6th
HORSE TO FOLLOW UPSCALE – Should win next start. Will be spot on fitness wise, hopefully finds a drier track
