Race 8 #10 Sir Plush $2.20 bet now

VALUE BET – Race 6 #12 Mariquita $16 bet now

Race 1 – 11:25AM HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

No. 2 Hualalai should have won last start, but he got too far back in a slowly run race. He is a smart horse who has drawn to be more positive and the rise in trip is ideal. No. 3 Heliosphere is another lightly raced colt who has shown above average ability in both career starts. He won well last start and I like that he drops back in trip this Saturday. Follow this horse next prep. No. 4 Condor stuck on well on debut at this track last start. He is fitter now and he much be respected now that he has had some race experience. No. 8 Victory In Paris didn’t beat much last start at Kembla, but I liked the way this filly attacked the line. This filly will sit just behind the speed from the nice draw and with no weight on her back, she might run a very cheeky race.

Back the 2 to win $2.50 bet now

Race 2 – 12:00PM BENCHMARK 76 HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

No. 6 Insensata has been good in all three runs back this prep. She is rock hard fit now and this filly should have no excuses from the inside draw. No. 7 Lope De Lope sat midfield throughout the race last start, got to the outside on the turn and attacked the line well to beat a pretty handy horse. She has drawn perfectly and this filly is going to carry no weight on her back after the claim. No. 2 Just Dreaming is airborne this time in, winning three from five including two at this track. I can’t knock this animal because she is racing so well, but I prefer others. No. 4 Faraway Town should be ready to produce her best now that she is fitter.

Back the 6 to win $4.20 bet now

Race 3 – 12:35PM BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (1900 METRES)

No. 10 Domed is a serious animal in the making and I still have no idea how this filly won last start. She gets in with no weight on her back again and I like that she stays at 1900m. I expect her to get back and attack the line very strongly. No. 8 Fournette sat wide and did enough to win last start over 1600m at Canterbury. This is tougher, but she is bred to run out this trip, drawn well and this filly will really appreciate the bigger track. No. 2 I’ll Fly Away has been racing well in much tougher races in QLD. She must be respected because she is trained by Mr Weir, but the wide barrier is a slight concern. No. 9 Walk The Streets is racing consistently and she looks ready for this trip now.

Back the 10 to win $5.50 bet now

Race 4 – 1:10PM HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1800 METRES)

Another very tough Highway, but I have settled on No. 14 Chadana because her effort behind Fournette last start was good enough to go close in this. If she can settle in a midfield position than she should be able to run on strongly late. No. 8 Mister Marmalade has been ok in both runs back this prep, but I expect a much better performance now that he is fitter and rises in trip. No. 2 Barbass stepped up in trip and produced his best last start at Dubbo. This is tougher, but he is very fit and the rise in trip should be no worry at all. No. 16 Fastquest burst through to score a nice win last start at Cessnock. Harder here, but drawn well and he has placed over this trip in the past.

Small bet on the 14 each way $14 bet now

Race 5 – 1:45PM ATC WINTER CUP (2400 METRES)

No. 8 Araldo Junior is a Victorian galloper who came to Sydney last start and ran a very nice race from the back of the field. I am happy to have something on this horse each way because he is over the odds, loves a wet track and the rise in trip is perfect. No. 3 Gallic Chieftain is the one to beat after a lovely win at the Valley last start. The rise in trip shouldn’t be a worry and the drop-in weight is a nice bonus. No. 1 Destiny’s Kiss is ready to produce his best now that he is fitter and No. 6 Montauk must be respected because he always runs an honest race.

Small bet on the 8 each way $12 bet now

Race 6 – 2:25PM BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

I am pretty excited to see No. 12 Mariquita back at the races because I have really liked her two recent trials and I think she is in for a big prep. This is a tough ask first-up, but she has drawn well, has no weight on her back and I like that Gerald gave her a quiet trial earlier this week. No. 3 Memes has won four from five this prep and I would not be surprised if she won again. I can’t knock this filly one bit. No. 4 Hetty Heights resumes and brings some handy form into this race. Her recent trial was good and her first-up record is top class. Watch for her late. No. 2 Upscale is ticking along well this prep, but the big weight might take some zip out of her legs.

Back the 12 each way $16 bet now

Race 7 – 3:05PM CIVIC STAKES (1350 METRES)

No. 8 Sir Bacchus should have won last start, but he was held up at a vital stage and had to settle for second. This talented grey horse will settle back in the field from the draw and when asked, he will produce a big sprint down the outside. No. 3 Shiraz was good under a big weight first-up and then last start he attacked the line well at Ipswich. He is a tough old sprinter who has drawn well and the drop-in weight is a big plus. No. 7 Slightly Sweet hasn’t won for a while, but this mare is racing well and she should get a perfect run throughout from the inside draw. No. 11 Invincible Knight ran home strongly to win a BM 78 last start at this track. This is tougher, but he peaks now and he is another horse who will appreciate the light weight on his back.

Back the 8 to win $4 bet now

Race 8 – 3:45PM BENCHMARK 93 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

No. 10 Sir Plush trialled well before his dominant win first-up at this track two weeks ago. His form last prep was good, but his last start win suggests that he has come back bigger and better. He should be fitter now and his barrier ensures a perfect run throughout. No. 11 Calanda won well first-up, but he hasn’t had much luck at all since that win. He is a serious animal who should get every chance to win his fourth race from the nice draw. No. 12 King Darci resumes without any recent trials, so it’s hard to get a guide on how well he is going, but his form last prep was consistent and this animal will grow a leg with no weight on his back. No. 9 I Am Gypsy is a very fit horse who has been racing consistently over in South Australia.

Back the 10 to win $2.20 bet now

Race 9 – 4:25PM BENCHMARK 77 HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

No. 4 Reneged had no luck last start, but this gelding still managed to score a very tough win. The stable should have him ready to peak now and if he can get some luck from the draw than he should finish off over the top of this field. No. 7 Carzoff looked home last start, but he was run down late at this track. He is a nice horse in the making, but he does need luck from the wide draw. No. 2 Obsidian is a tough old gelding who returned with a great effort first-up. He has drawn perfectly in barrier one and the 3kg claim bring him in well at the weights. No. 6 Pick Me Up has been very good in both runs back this prep. He is ready to peak now and the rise in trip is perfect.

Back the 4 to win $6.50 bet now
