Race 1 – 1:25PM MAIDEN HANDICAP (1550 METRES)
No. 3 GRESHAM attacked the line well to finish second first-up, then ran on well again in a nice race the last start at Randwick. He should be ready to peak now, drawn well and the rise in trip looks perfect. No. 1 RUNAWAY has shown good ability in all three runs this prep. He is a fit animal and this Colts form reads very well. No. 4 AUGUSTUS is a nice colt who could run a big race now that he is fitter.

Race 2 – 2:00 PM BENCHMARK 71 HANDICAP (1250 METRES)
No. 3 SEBRING EXPRESS was trailing well before her impressive first-up win at Gosford. She has come back a more mature galloper this time in, fitter now and barrier one ensures another perfect run throughout. No. 1 DEVOLVING resumes after showing very nice ability in her first prep. I have really liked her two trials this time in and if she can relax throughout, she will be the one running on very strongly late. No. 5 REGIMEN looks well above average and I expect her to appreciate the long journey.

Race 3 – 2:35PM MAIDEN PLATE (1250 METRES)
No. 7 SMARTEDGE looked home on debut, but he was run down late but the very smart, D’argento. I think this gelding is very smart and he should be much better suited now that he has had some race experience. No. 8 SMOOTH LANDING didn’t have much luck last prep, but I was a big fan of all her three runs. If she can get some luck from the draw then she will be flying home late. Follow this filly. No. 4 GOLD STANDARD chased home well on debut to finish second behind the smart, Addictive Nature. I expect this colt to roll forward and give a big kick when asked.

Race 4 – 3:10 PM BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP (1900 METRES)
No. 5 CHATELARD is a lightly raced gelding who is looking for three on the trot. His win over this track/distance last start was good and I can’t see any reason why he can’t win again in this BM 70. No. 2 MORE THAN FABULOUS drops in grade after running a much-improved race at Rosehill last start. He has the ability to win this race, but he doesn’t win too often and I think the big weight might take the zip out of his legs. No. 4 BROGUE is a fit animal who will make his own luck up on the speed.

Race 5 – 3:45 PM BENCHMARK 77 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)
No. 5 NASSAK needed the run first-up, but I thought her effort to run fifth was good. The stable should have her fitter now, drawn well and the drop in grade is a big help. No. 8 MALAHAT is a talented colt who takes on the older horses here today. His recent trial was good and he did win well first-up last prep, but I think this horse is well under the odds. No. 6 EMINENT DUKE ran a much-improved race last start at Canterbury. He has the ability to win this race and I think the drop back in trip should suit.

Race 6 – 4:20 PM BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1250 METRES)
No. 5 SUPER STAR BOB was outclassed first-up, so just put a pen through that run. He showed good ability last prep and he is mapped to get a lovely run throughout today. No. 6 LE CAVALIER is a tough old gelding who rarely runs a bad race. His recent trial was good and barrier one ensures a lovely run throughout. No. 2 JEMADAR has been showing good ability at the trials for his new stable, but I am a bit worried that the big weight might take some zip out of his legs.

Race 7 – 4:55 PM BENCHMARK 73 HANDICAP (1550 METRES)
No. 10 ROMNEY’S CHOICE has had no luck this prep, but I am happy to give him one more chance because he is rock hard fit and he should get a lovely run from the gun draw. No. 9 EXCITED PRINCE worked home well the last start from the back of the field. He peaks now and the rise in trip looks ideal. No. 2 FORTENSKY is a consistent gelding who can run another big race today, but he just needs some luck from the wide draw.
