Race 1 – 11:25AM PLATE (1200 METRES)
No. 8 Lipizzan has been good in all three runs back this prep. Her latest effort at this track was good behind Champagne Cuddles and this filly is now ready for the rise in trip. No. 3 Florid resumes and has had two nice trials on a soft and a heavy track. He looks like he has matured this prep and this colt is a winner on a heavy track in the past. No. 4 Last Starfighter has shown good ability in both career starts and he will be very hard to beat on Saturday, but the heavy track is a big concern. No. 9 Star Galaxy come from last to win at Canterbury on debut over 1100m. She is fitter now and the rise in trip is a plus.

Race 2 – 12:00PM BENCHMARK 77 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
No. 7 Suspenders has changed stable and had a very nice recent trial since her last start failure at Scone. She is a smart horse who is fitter now and barrier two ensures a perfect run throughout. No. 3 Ghostly went forward and gave a good kick to win last start at Canterbury. Ghostly should be ready to win now and I really like that he has had a recent trial to keep his mind on the job. No. 11 Peaceful Sea did enough first-up and the rise in trip will be ideal. She is a nice horse, but I think she might need one more run. No. 8 The Pharoah has trialled well, but he does need luck from the wide draw.

Race 3 – 12:35PM BENCHMARK 81 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
No. 1 Heavenly Anna won well at this track last start, adores these conditions and the stable should have her rock hard fit now. No. 2 Test The World has won four on the trot this prep and looks very hard to beat again, but the rise in weight is a worry. No. 7 Love’s A Fantasy needs to lift, but she is fitter now and this mare is going to adore no weight on her back. No. 5 Reiby Rampart is rock hard fit now and her form is good enough to win this, but she just needs a bit of luck from the draw.

Race 4 – 1:10PM HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
No. 6 Bulala had to carry a big weight first-up, but that didn’t stop him from scoring a nice win. He will get back and attack the line hard. No. 9 Unyielding ran an encoring race first-up and I wouldn’t be shocked if he ran a big race at nice odds this weekend. No. 2 Atlantic Sentinel won well last start and he should get every chance this Saturday from the gun draw. No. 5 Conniving is a consistent horse who will make her own luck up on the speed.

Race 5 – 1:45PM BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP (2400 METRES)
No. 4 Collateral is another Bjorn Baker trained horse who is absolutely airborne this time in. His win last Saturday was impressive and I don’t think the back-up will worry this animal at all. The rise in trip looks perfect and I think the horse he beat last week is a smart horse. No. 7 Quatermaster didn’t beat much last start at Gosford, but I really like the way this horse attacked the line. He gets through all conditions and the big drop in weight is a massive help. No. 2 Richard Of Yorke is a consistent animal who will appreciate the drop back in trip and No. 6 Get On The Grange always runs a brave race.

Race 6 – 2:25PM HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
No. 9 Sultan Of Swing is a Kiwi galloper who should have won last start, but he got too far back and attacked the line late to finish second. His form is good enough to win this race and I believe his turn of foot is what will get him home on Saturday. No. 7 Liapari backs up after winning by a small margin at Rosehill last Saturday. He is a good horse on his day, but I think he needs a senior rider on his back to keep his mind on the job the whole way. No. 6 Berry Delicious is a bit of a tease, but she is racing well and if she produced her best than this mare would be right in the finish. No. 5 Old North has all the ability in the world, but he doesn’t know how to produce it on race day. He could blow them away or he could run 10 lengths last.

Race 7 – 3:05PM WINTER DASH HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
No. 9 Tessera didn’t handle the bog track at Eagle Farm last start, so just put a pen through that run. His first two runs this time in were good and he is a winner on a heavy track in the past. No. 5 Kudero is a tough old horse who keeps trying his best every time he races. He will get a perfect run behind the speed from barrier two and the heavy track should be no concern. No. 4 Boss Lane was ok first-up, but I expect a much better performance on Saturday because he is fitter and his record over this distance reads very well. No. 3 Mount Nebo can improve now that he is fitter and drawn well. He loves a heavy track.

Race 8 – 3:45PM BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
No. 5 Pelethronius has come back very well this prep, winning two from two including a tough effort on a heavy track last start. He should be ready to peak now, drawn well and this gelding is unbeaten on a heavy track. No. 7 Clear The Beach won well first-up and then stuck on well to finish second at this track last start. His stable will have him ready to fire again on Saturday, but he will need some luck from the draw. No. 2 Wild ‘N’ Famous is a very honest galloper, but he just struggles to stick his neck out. He has drawn well, gets 2kgs off his back and this distance suits. No. 14 Imperator Augustus is racing very well and he will appreciate the big drop in weight.

Race 9 – 4:25PM BENCHMARK 78HANDICAP (1000 METRES
Very tough race to finish the day and I have settled on No. 12 Loverboy Charlie because he is a very fit horse who has drawn well and the heavy track is no concern. No. 3 Isorich is ready to peak after two runs back from a spell. He is a tough old horse who won’t spend any petrol throughout the run from the gun draw. No. 8 Lion Couchant is airborne this time in, but the horrible draw is a massive worry. No. 13 Eminent Duke is a genuine chance if he produces his best. Fitter now.
