Godolphin star Avilius has found winning form at his third spring start in taking out the Group One George Main Stakes at Randwick.

In posting his third elite-level win on Australian turf, the import produced a sustained run from last in the $500,000 race.

Under Kerrin McEvoy, Avilius swept to the lead at the 100m and raced clear to beat Dreamforce with the veteran Happy Clapper taking the minor placing.
