I was impressed with the first up run of SPENDING TO WIN when nailed late by Kings Of Leon at Warwick Farm. That run was always going to bring him on and from an ideal gate he should get the chance to stalk Nictock and when Hugh Bowman pushes the button he will pounce.

Race 6 No.8 So Willie
SO WILLIE is flying at present showing his versatility on all surfaces. He was terrific last start over the mile off a 21 day break and although he hasn’t won past the mile I think this time a4round he is going better than ever and from a soft draw he can run it out strongly. I think his big danger is Sound Proposition but I am banking on the 7kg difference in weight will enable So Willie to get the chocolates.

Race 2 No.6 Diapason
DIAPASON has been most unlucky at her latest two runs when narrowly beaten. She goes up in grade a little but drops in weight and from a good gate should enjoy a perfect run. I am hoping the light weight will enable her to dash quickly even though she is back in trip.

Race 5 No.6 Lovani
LOVANI was very good last start when worked early before dashing away for a commanding win. She looks to gain control again here unless the top weight elects to apply pressure. The only little worry is the firmer track that she will face tomorrow but I’m confident she can show the same dash on the better surface.

Race 7 No.2 Sheiswhatsheis
In a race where two horses seem to stand out from the others I’m siding with the one that will be out in front and the others will have the job to chase down. The mare SHEISWHATSHEIS really stood up to be counted last start here a fortnight ago when allowed to roll and kicked clear to win by a big space. I think she runs the mile out strongly and if she can pick a break on straightening that will hopefully be shut the door.
