 ROSEHILL

Race 1             No.4    D’Argento

Chris Waller has a few handy youngsters by champion So You Think and this one D’ARGENTO may just be the best of them and that is saying something. This grey colt debuted with a barnstorming win at Newcastle over 1200m and now turns up obviously in tougher grade but gets the advantage of his home track and an extra furlong. The speed on paper looks fair and if Hugh Bowman can get him clear galloping room from the top of the straight I believe he will round them up and in doing so put the Sydney Jockeys premiership to bed.

Race 7             No.1    Gold Symphony

GOLD SYMPHONY will line up in the days feature the Winter Challenge 1500m and I am banking on getting some luck to make up for a luckless run last start in the Winter Stakes. He was blocked the entire length of the straight finishing 11th of 13 runners but only two lengths from the winner. Nine of the 11 runners clashed last start with a few having little luck but I thought Gold Symphony is the one in my mind who would have got the money with clear room. He’s drawn ideally and Bowman sticks so I’m sticking.

Race 7             No.3    Revolving Door

Talk about tough efforts REVOLVING DOOR was huge last start after racing wide and working throughout the run before being nabbed right on the line by Nikitas who he clashes with again here. Revolving Door drew gate nine of 11 unlike Nikitas in three both those gates have been switched here. After Revolving Door looked to cross early he was left posted so his rider apprentice Brandon Stockdale eased but was still wide. He got to the front at the furlong but was collared late. Unlike last start Revolving Door has drawn perfect and although he will carry a little more weight he gets the services of Mark Zahra.

Race 7             No.7    Meet And Greet

MEET AND GREET resumed three weeks ago and although he was held up on a couple of occasions he wouldn’t have won but perhaps finished a little closer when fourth to Eat My Trust who will line up as favourite here. Meet And Greet gets a 2 ½ kilo turnaround here on Eat My Trust plus the favourite has drawn out wide compared to a perfect gate for Meet And Greet in four. Brad Stewart takes over the reins and one statistic not to be overlooked is that Meet And Greet is two from two second up while never filling a placing fresh.

Good luck
