Blake Shinn has ridden his first winner in the United States aboard Brisson at Arlington Park in Chicago.

The Sydney jockey is spending five weeks based at the Wesley Ward stable during the Australian winter.

Brisson is trained by Wayne Catalano for the 175-strong Arlington Racing Club with many of the owners on course on Saturday (Sunday AEST)

Shinn is booked for three rides on Sunday at Arlington.
